Statesville man charged with 122 sex crimes against children

STATESVILLE, NC (WBTV) –  A Statesville man was arrested last week and charged with 122 sex crimes that occurred over 11 years. Christopher Charles Harris, 39, of Woodhaven Drive, is charged with 122 charges including first and second degree rape, statutory rape, first and second degree sex offenses and indecent liberties, according to a news release from the Iredell County Sheriff's Office. Detectives say the abuse against the young girl started in 1998 and stopped in 2009. Harris was taken to the Iredell County Detention Center under a $200,000 bond. Harris also has two pending charges of indecent liberties with a child from 2009. He was out on bond for these charges which involved another juvenile female, according to the release.
